CATS Global Schools.

in collaboration with Hunts Office.

As a global educational brand represented strongly in the UK, CATS have grown into one of the most innovative and successful education providers. A need to refresh their global brand identity and identify a physical location for their head office encouraged the move into a new business development in the heart of Cambridge. With a clear industrial architectural look & feel, the interior space needed to have a traditional representation of CATS and their values, without feeling disconnected to the wider environment. CATS focus on creating nurturing and inspiring environments for future generations, these values were at the heart of the design process. We drew inspiration from the many existing characteristics of exposed beams, brickwork, etc. and juxtaposed this with soft and luxurious tactility for a high-end heritage feel that wasn’t overpowering. The end goal - a cohesive scheme with a heritage and timeless feel in an industrial shell. We created a truly unique blend of industrial and heritage design, with quirky pieces of CATS personality subtly integrated with the space and furniture - from artwork and fashion pieces produced by students, to antiques and principal portraits representing the brand CATS have longed to create.

“Ana and the team at Hunts went above and beyond to partner with us as a client and spend time getting to know who we are as an organisation and what we were wanting to achieve. We have had several iterations throughout the project and I’ve appreciated the patience and support. I personally also got hands on with the design elements and enjoyed working with the team on choosing the right aesthetic and all ideas were welcome. The brand that we were looking to create required a combination of heritage with a modern twist and the brief has more than been achieved, I am delighted with the outcome. The materials and products sourced from Ana and the team are exceptional and we are already having conversations about the next project we can work together on.”
